St Joseph's Nursing Home was purpose built, all on ground level, in 1997 by Denis and Kathleen Kidney. Planning was inspired by the owner's experience running the original home. The patients are of paramount importance and this is reflected in the accommodation provided.
There is a unique controlled heating system incorporating under-floor and ceiling features, and each room is controlled independently for maximum comfort. Particular attention is given to safety and well-being.
A wheelchair-friendly atmosphere prevails and extensive bathroom and bedroom aids are evident. There is always a registered nurse on duty.
This state-of-the-art Nursing Home has all the comforts you would expect (and more!) including en suite facilities, tv points in rooms, fire alarms, phone facilities, emergency lighting and nurse call facilities.
All categories of residents are also cared for - long/short-term stay, geriatric, post operative, convalescent, Alzheimer, physically disabled, holiday stay and terminal care.
St. Joseph's Nursing Home is under the authority of the Southern Health Board (Health (Nursing Homes) Act, 1990) and is also VHI Listed.
