St. Joseph's Nursing Home has a selection of private and semi-private bedrooms. There are 17 bedrooms in all with a 34 patient capacity. Each bedroom boasts splendid views second to none, surrounded by the mature and spacious landscaped gardens.
Each bedroom also has a temperature control gauge, which can vary the temperature of the unique under-floor and ceiling system.
Each bedroom has en-suite facilities, which contain a wc, an open shower which is wheelchair friendly and a washhand basin.
There is also a short-wave radio speaker above the door in each bedroom, which receives mass celebrations from the chapel and from Holy Cross Church.
There is a telephone and television point in each bedroom. The telephone is a direct feed from the main line so the patients can send and receive calls whenever they want.
The beds themselves are top-of-the-line hospital and orthapaedic styles which contain cot sides. There is also a nurse call system which can be operated from a control panel near each bed, within easy reach of the patient. There are also pressure-relief mattresses for patients with delicate skin, which expounds the lenghts we go to to ensure the comfort of our patients.
