St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Kenmare, believes that it is above all the quality of staff that will ensure that excellent care is given to our residents. Our management team have a combined experience of more than 60 years in the nursing profession. In addition, our nursing staff has a wide range of experience in the healthcare sector from geriatric to intensive care to intellectual disabilities. The majority of our staff comes from the South Kerry area which helps to provide a home from home environment.

Our management staff are qualified as FETAC and manual handling instructors and all carers are FETAC trained.

There is an in house officer for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Plan (HACCP) and all of our nurses, care assistants and kitchen staff have HACCP training as well as training in the dietary needs for special requirements.
